
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actress. After early roles on television and film, she gained the world stage for her performance as of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) brought her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) received the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In an Supporting Role. Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent television series. She also played Jeri Hogarth. While living in Spain, Moss obtained a role as Tara, the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first television appearance. She relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles with the series in 1992. Moss left Dark Justice before the series' third and final season and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn as Samantha "Sam" Collins. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena when she returned, and then she was a part of Fox's primetime soap opera Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. The show was ended July 1, 1995. She was the lead actress in a short-lived Canadian-made show titled Matrix. 3 Throughout the 1990s, she appeared in a variety of television shows like Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she scored a nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Guest Actress in drama. Her film credits included numerous B films, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
