Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. Her birth name is Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top with her electronic pop sound after capturing the attention of the world by releasing "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack for composing catchy yet emotionally earnest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of modern mainstream music as well as arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogs to print media, garnering praise from mainstream publications like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records, a major music label, chose to sign Goulding and was preparing to release Goulding's debut album.
