Niykee continues to write songs, even though she has been swept up in the latest crisis. Niykee was selected for her participation in YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. A producer magnet Niykee constantly sifts through the many beats that are being sent to her. She has found that the majority are a source of new songs. It's only after five minutes that I know the beat's worth it. Then, I get the idea of a song's whole concept within my head, and then I begin to compose. While I play the guitar in my front yard I begin writing, and words flow. A majority of the time it is accomplished in 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her skills as a poet and the lyricist. She notes how her experiences of suffering in the past is a constant sources of motivation. It's hard to avoid memories that are painful from my youth, especially losing my younger sister. These memories are integrated into her music. The memories influence my songs and builds this deeper meaning under everything which is an important thing that I value. It is important to me to realize that I'll be able to listen to any of my music 20 years later and feel proud of the things I wrote.
