Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre scene with Li'l Abner's in the year 1957. That same year, she released Her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. At the time, she joined the Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection with Lee Strasberg as his student. In 1964, she signed with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively in between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber characters as against her perceived image of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she was also a prominent director of popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has remained in Toronto ever since.
